Terms of Service
Last updated October 18, 2026. Plain English, because that's how we do everything.
1. What ShipWatch does
ShipWatch runs passive, read-only checks on public web apps. We fetch your public pages, JavaScript files and a few well-known paths (like /.env and /.git/HEAD) the same way a browser would, and read the response headers. We do not log in, submit forms, probe databases, guess passwords, run exploits or load-test anything.
2. Only apps you own
You may only add apps that you own or are authorized to test. For paid monitoring you must prove ownership with a DNS TXT record or a meta tag before we scan. Don't use ShipWatch against someone else's site.
3. No guarantee
ShipWatch finds common, visible mistakes. It cannot find every vulnerability, and a clean report is not a guarantee that your app is secure. Reports and fix prompts are general information, not a professional security audit or legal advice. Review any change your AI tool makes before shipping it. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans (Solo, $19/month for 1 app; Pro, $49/month for up to 5 apps) renew monthly until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice by email.
5. Cancel any time
Cancel from your dashboard via the Stripe customer portal. Your subscription stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, then stops; you won't be charged again. We don't prorate partial months, but if something went wrong, contact us and we'll make it right.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShipWatch is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for security incidents in your app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
7. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; we'll email subscribers about material changes. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service (for example, trying to scan sites they don't own).
